Total PVC® Mesh Grating is a high quality and resistant product, specially designed to be used in coastal areas, where the presence of salt spray and salt spray can cause damage to common materials. In this sense, Total Telas has subjected the Total Telas PVC® Grating to a rigorous test of exposure to salt spray, carried out by the company TECPAR, a reference in technical analysis. The objective of the test was to evaluate the ability of Total PVC® Screens to resist the effects of salt spray and salt spray, and to compare it with a conventional grid on the market.

Test Results

The test was carried out in three stages, lasting 500, 1000 and 1500 hours, respectively. In the first 500-hour trial, the Total PVC® Screens Grating was in perfect condition, while the conventional Grating showed signs of rust/white oxidation. In the second 1000-hour trial, the Total PVC® Screens Grating was still in perfect condition, while the conventional Grating already showed signs of rust/red oxidation. And finally, in the 1500-hour trial, the Total PVC® Screens Grating remained in perfect condition, while the conventional Grating was completely deteriorated and riddled with rust.

Importance of the test

This test is of great importance for Total Screens, as it demonstrates the superiority and resistance of Total PVC® Screens Grating compared to conventional products. In addition, this is the longest salt spray test ever carried out in Brazil, proving the quality of Total Telas’ product and its ability to resist high corrosion environments. The strength of Total Grating PVC® Screens is of utmost importance for fencing projects in coastal areas such as seaside and other places near the sea.

Simulation Video

And to further show the effectiveness of Total Grating PVC® Screens, we have prepared a video simulating the effects of salt spray and salt spray on our product. With this simulation, it is possible to see in practice how the Total PVC® Screens Grating remains resistant and in perfect conditions of use, even in extreme conditions of exposure to salt spray and salt spray. The 1,500 hours of exposure in the test is equivalent to 5 years of exposure in a coastal region, such as Campeche Beach in Florianópolis, for example.

Conclusion

Based on the results of the salt spray exposure test and the video simulation, we can affirm that the Total PVC® Screens Grating is a product of high quality and resistance, specially designed to be used in coastal areas. Its proven resistance to salt spray and salt spray makes Total Grating PVC Screens® the ideal choice for fencing projects in locations close to the sea. Do not risk the safety and durability of your fencing in coastal regions. Choose the Total Grating PVC® Screens and ensure maximum protection and resistance for your project.
